Wydaje mi się, że chodziło mu po prostu o specyficzny odcień różu i tak postanowił to zobrazować.

Cytat:
when you're on tour your life becomes gorilla style. You eat when there's food or go with out for hours and hours.

A tutaj mu się chyba z 'guerilla' pomyliło Laughing

Blog From Ben!

Hi blog lovers

How are you all? I must say, its been pretty cool hauling ass across the U.S of A and Canada and seeing such a positive response to Young Modern. It's been a real pleasure! It's been pretty funny to have some of you come up asking me what I had for breakfast. Here I was thinking you didn't pay attention to my witty little "blogging" ways! Everyone wants to know what I think of the colour pink too...gold! Ha!

Thank you to the guy that pulled me up on my incorrect spelling, and use, of gorilla on my last blog. It should have been guerilla. English isn't my field, that's Dan's bag. I'm the maths guy and Chris loves his shapes (in joke, but I'll leave it in there anyway). Actually, I just had a thought... I'm pretty sure Chris wont read this so lets try something. If any of you get to meet Chris, ask him this question - Did you not do shapes in school? Or better yet ask him what his favourite shape is. I'll leave this for now and we shall see what comes of it!

The shows on this tour have been great so far! We've been having a whole lotta fun. The show at the Spectrum in Montreal was lots of fun. We found a little cafe in Montreal called Alexandre and that's become our local. It's classic French. We sat there until 2am last night playing cards and talking to the real locals. Lotsa good times!

Nothing much to report this time. We're all in a good routine at the moment. Probably not getting enough sleep with the amount of shows and traveling in the tour bus but the adrenalin seems to be getting us through. We are really excited to be playing Lollapalooza in a few days!

I hope to see you at a gig real soon and to everyone in UK & Europe we shall see you soon!

Nothing more to say re: pink. No b'fast this morning so nothing to discuss on that topic.

Thanks for stopping by!

Over and out...
Ben

tales of the tourbus 3

todays instalment is a cowrite with sir william hathaway who is in my head, on the stage, and my best mate. i wouldn't be "hear" without him for sooo many reasons.
america done. 3 days off in london. 12 farting men in a bus. need to get out and let my lone wolf stalk. thank god, had what was possibly the best sex of my career in london. god i love that town. culture, history and decadence with irony to boot. doesn't get better, except for the weather.
brixton! fuck! 5000 people in a room that literally stinks of history. edinburgh, where every taxi driver is billy connely, manchester (frank sinartra and the beatles played here. on to nottingham.....wake up, where are we?...what...how. is there food, follow your nose is the advice of boomghandi. you will find food if you seek it. sausage rolls and fish fingers. mmmmmmmm,,,,,,, breakfast . gig is awesome. crowd rocks. i think i got boo'd at one point which sends me into deeprsession spiral.
on to a ferry and over the channel.
we dont believe in god but we DO believe in xanax . too much time thinking about me means
i and or WE may appear somewhat .............dare i say....................................SELFISH.........own decisions.
freeways, autobahns, farmlands and the distinct smell of horseshit! the only way to travel through this is with techno. kraftwerk and monolake work well. it's all about juxtaposition in these times. i refuse to revisit the past both old and neo! it has to be forward or we are truly fucked. there's a place for us all. still looking for it but i know it's there.......where? behind you.... behind you! ..........................................BACK THERE. i once had an experience ................(dream wise) ...... that i regugitated dolphins ..... paul thinks
that is enviable............BUT i am bored with my personality yet here i am soooooooo.............electonic music is nicer ........no words and or "sentimentality".
define sentiment. everybody has songs that connect to a point in their life. so does the person that wrote/performs it. how do you move forward without ersasing the past. i reckon it's all about trust. my favourite concert in my life was radiohead post kid A. obviously there were a lot of people that paid to hear "creep" and "paranoid android". personally, i didn't give a fuck. when you get into an album of the magnitude of "KID A" i would of been satisfied hearing the album from go........to woooooooooooooooah". respect to the back catalogue, but it is being young and modern.
off to do some festivals in europe.
i miss my home, seymour, newtown and loved ones. this is the most unnatural lifestyle ever devised. fuck i love it. it's pure excsatcy (not the drug...) the emotion, or hell. there is no middle ground. there is no middle earth. there is no middle ground. this will be my rebirth or death..................................own decisions, refusing to stay!
love youse like a TV host with hair like lenny kravitz!
so...............................in closing US ....................................................................................SEND . LOVE

Message from Chris
(14.09.07)

Hi everyone

It's been a while since I last wrote a blog there has been so much going on lately!

As you all probably know we have started the Across the Great Divide Tour with our good mates, Powderfinger. So far the tour has been awesome, it feels great to be playing to so many of you enthusiastic folks!

I'd have to say the tent shows have been my favorite so far. It rained so hard in Coffs Harbour just before we were due to go on and the whole place was like a mud bath. Big props if you were there and I hope you had your gum boots on!

We have this new rule on the tourbus that we will pull over to get our photos taken with anything big, as is an awesome Aussie tradition. So far we have photos with the big banana, the big apple, the big golden guitar and the big fruitasaurus. Not bad so far and we aren't even half way through the tour yet!

We are on our way to Mildura at the moment for a show tonight then onto Bendigo and Ballarat. There are a few sore heads getting around today as we had a few drinks last night for somebody's birthday.

As you can imagine we have been doing a lot of traveling in our 12 seater van which has been pretty funny at times. If a trip is meant to take 3 hours it seems to end up taking us 6 hours, for some reason and we just cant work it out! We think maybe our tour manager keeps getting his stiletto stuck under the accelerator!

It has been really nice getting back out and playing some reigonal

shows again as we haven't done any for some time. They are amongst my favourite shows to play as there is always a really good feeling to them.

Well until next time, and hopefully it wont be this long between drinks!

See you out there somewhere.

Cheers,

Chris!
